Aergan
I have had this happen, just phone the Microsoft activation phone number relevent to your region and type in on the phone keypad what they ask for. Very easy but did take about 7mins.
+Matthew S. Subscriber² Posted October 26, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted October 26, 2014 Is it that it's not accepting the CD-Key or not activating? if it's not accepting the CD-Key, did you upgrade it to 8.1? If it's not activating just call the number that it gives you.
Riggers
I had something similar on a computer i recently did. When i was inputing the key from the normal place it wouldn`t work (accept it as valid) but when i went to "Add Features to Windows 8.1" and chose "I already have a product key" and inserted it there it seemed to work and activation went through. MAybe gice it a try before you ring them... Good luck. p.s Also before trying activation I changed the reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Setup/OOBE/ from 1 to 0 i`m not sure if that affected anything. Eric Veteran Posted October 26, 2014 Veteran Share Posted October 26, 2014 Is it saying that it's the wrong Windows version or that it has reached it's activation limit?
ProgRocker
If the key is legit phone it in like mentioned above. Takes 5 minutes and usually works without issue
