Mindovermaster Moderator Posted October 27, 2014 Moderator Share Posted October 27, 2014 I have an Intel NUC, Can't remember the specs, but It has an i3 in it. 4GB DDR3, 30GB m-SSD. However, it does not have a sound card onboard. I have Ubuntu loaded up on there, want to run Steam off it. But I need USB sound, speakers or video card. I am currently using my Logitech G330 headset (has USB dongle) for sound, but I really want speakers. I know the Creative brand is good, but really do not want to spend that much... Any suggestions? How about something link this.... http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-CM-UAUD-Adapter-C-Media-Chipset/dp/B001MSS6CS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414438891&sr=8-1&keywords=hdmi+to+headphone+jack Creative doesnt look to bad either... http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Sound-Blaster-System-SB1290/dp/B0044DEDC0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1414439283&sr=8-2&keywords=creative+usb But you should be able to get a HDMI to 3.5mm converter someplace. May be cheaper just to go creative tho.
+Fahim S. MVC Posted October 27, 2014 MVC Share Posted October 27, 2014 Have these on my desktop: http://www.trustedreviews.com/soundscience-qsb-review Don't know about the prices in the US, but in the UK you can pick them up for about ?25 ($40). They are awesome - for the money, unbelievably so.
