USB Sound Card/Speakers

Recommended Posts

I have an Intel NUC, Can't remember the specs, but It has an i3 in it. 4GB DDR3, 30GB  m-SSD.

However, it does not have  a sound card onboard. I have Ubuntu loaded up on there, want to run Steam off it. But I need USB sound, speakers or video card.

I am currently using my Logitech G330 headset (has USB dongle) for sound, but I really want speakers. I know the Creative brand is good, but really do not want to spend that much... Any suggestions?

How about something link this....

Creative doesnt look to bad either...

But you should be able to get a HDMI to 3.5mm converter someplace.  May be cheaper just to go creative tho.

Pretty sure it does audio over HDMI if that helps at all.

I don't think they are that bad looking.  But hey, everyone is entitled to his opinion....

Anyway, that was my suggestion.  I own a pair and can vouch for their quality.
