ATLien_0
I just wanted to see if anyone has encountered this yet. Both my Macbook Pro (2011) and Mac Pro (2011), have recent installs of Yosemite, the MBP a fresh install, the Mac Pro and upgrade. Each have a cinema display (mini display port) plugged in. When I plug my headphones in to the headphone port, the audio does not auto switch to them and continues to play through my Cinema Display. On Mavericks this was not the case, now each time I want to use my headphones I have to manually switch the audio over to them through system preferences. Sikh
Ive been running Yosemite since DP1 and only had this audio switching issue early on. Once I got to DP4 and figured it would be fix, i did a PRAM reset and after that its been fine. I would say do a PRAM reset and see what happens after

Shadrack
I'm having a similar issue with my Cinema Display audio not being automatically selected when plugged in. I have to go to Sound and select USB Display Audio. This was not an issue with any Mac OS X previous, but I'm having other issues as well and suspect it is time for a clean re-install. I'll try headphones when I get home to see if my problem extends to that as well. I suspect that it will. 15" MacBook Pro (mid-2009) with Mini-Displayport (not the newer Thunderbolt or w/e) connected to a 27" cinema display (minidisplayport model, ~2010/2011ish). WinMacLin Guy
I have similar issues with mine but it was with the internal speaker and internal headphone jack. It would happen at random, but the way I resolved it was by plugging the headphones in and out and after a few times it switched. Hopefully they sort this out with 10.10.1.
