Windows Mail App Question

I need some help.

Just aquired a new customer and there are two computers. One is running 8.1 and the other 7 was reinstalled. This is an older couple and the wife has trouble seeing some things and does not like Windows 8. The only app she used on there with big fonts was the Mail app.

Since that is her husbands machine she has her own running WIndows 7 which she prefers and I set everything also to large. The only issue we have with the machine is her not having an email program at the moment.

Since the Windows 8.1 Mail App does not work in 7 is there a program for 7 that works and looks like it? I am trying to be as consistent as posisble as change for them is hard and if I can keep them the same I will keep them happy.

I thought about Windows Live Mail but I dont know. If that is the clostest is there a stand alone installer? I dont like having to install all the other WIndows Live stuff just to have one program.

The closest would be Outlook 2013, but it costs a bunch. Your only other alternative is outlook.com. Just shortcut a link to the page on the desktop.

Outlook is too complicated for her and yes it needs to be free
