micro
I am creating an app for windows phone that will allow you to digitally store your gym barcode so you dont have to pull out your keys if you've already got your phone. Its working great but i want to be able to support as many gym's as possible. This is where i need your help. I need information about the barcodes to identify the gym better. For example, i am assuming that all LA Fitness members have a barcode number that starts with 'F' is that correct? Anyway, if you guys go to Lifetime, LA Fitness or Golds please chime in on the following for LifeTime: Can you please provide the first 3 digits of the bar code? Also the total length of the numbers available (all the ones in minnesota seem to be 9 digits long and start with 1). for Golds: I know nothing of this barcode, does it use only numbers, or is it a letter followed by numbers? whats the total count? If someone is awesome enough to identify the barcode type for me, that would be awesome (most are code 39 from what i can tell). Take a pic of the barcode and use this: http://online-barcode-reader.inliteresearch.com/ to identify the code type for LA Fitness: Does your barcode number start with F? is it 9 characters in total length? Thanks for the info!! Once this app is released it will be free with zero ads.

Actually, you're asking at the wrong forum, you might get good response from here http://forum.bodybuilding.com/
Shiranui
I also that that the average gym member is going to be able to provide you with detailed specifications of the barcode system of their gym of choice. Why not contact the head office's of the major gym chains and ask them.

micro
Looks like no one on bodybuilding cares to answer either. Might have to just stand outside of the gyms and ask to see their cards like a weirdo.
