How to deal with no cell phone?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be sending my Lumia 925 to Microsoft tomorrow. I got the UPS shipping label from them and everything. Second microphone not working so no Cortana or speech to text.

I will be without that phone for at least 2 weeks. I and most would not live without a smartphone these days. As a graphic designer, I can't do anything without it. What are my options? Would T-Mobile let me get a loaner phone if I put down $50 if they are not the one going to fix?

Could always pick up a Lumia 520/521 for less than $50 before you sent in your phone. Not sure why you would go without a phone these days, seems like you should've planned for it.

Ask a friend if they have an old phone. I have an S2, S3 and Nokia N8 just laying around because me and my Wife have upgraded a couple times. I'm willing to bet a lot of people are just like me in that regard.

This is why I have a magnitude of backup phones laying around ay any time. Some people call me crazy, but it's good to have backups if you ever run into a situation where one's needed. You can get the Lumia 521 or 530 at retail for about $60.

TMO must have changed.  When i had them, they would send me out a replacement phone and I would send back the bad one when I got the new.

Anyway, I would invest in another phone to have on hand and to use as a spare.  I use my old Verizon phone as my backup.  I always keep my last phone as a backup.  If I dont use the voice, then I will use it as an MP3 player, xbox controller, or other things until I need it.
