Oz.
The latest version of utorrent for Mac have ads included and they are very annoying. In the Windows version you can easily remove the ads by disabling some info in settings. Can be done on Mac by modifying something in package contents? Nick H. Supervisor Posted November 4, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted November 4, 2014 uTorrent Plus is advertisement free. It wouldn't be correct for us to advise you on ways to get around advertising for a program that offers you the ability if you pay them some money. Neyht Member Posted November 4, 2014 Member Share Posted November 4, 2014 Plus, those windows methods don't really work anymore on the newer builds (not as well at least). Find an alternative.

+Heartripper Subscriber¹ Posted November 4, 2014 Subscriber¹ Share Posted November 4, 2014 I use torrents occasionally and I have found transmission (https://www.transmissionbt.com/) to perfectly fit my needs. Order_66
Utorrent has been nothing but a steaming pile for the past year, switched to transmission 2 weeks ago and never looked back. Oz. 1 Share

Draconian Guppy
Just click "Hide Sidebar" +1 off topic, is there any other client with IF timers? When download completes, shut down pc, client, etc. ?
Raa
Any reason you can't use an older client? I'm still happily rocking 2.2.1 here with no issues whatsoever. (Y)
CPressland
Another vote for Transmission. I even run it on my Windows Download Box as a Service. Much nicer than uTorrent IMO. Oz. 1 Share
Lucas
I'd also suggest moving to Transmission. Oz. 1 Share
