iPhone 6; (some of) the issues: still worth getting one?

Recommended Posts

Just to sum up some of the latest issues around the iPhone 6 (Plus) or strong allegations and maybe fixes to it:

- bending

- colorization

- flash memory

So my question is, will these be flaws/issues be fixed soon during the production process of the iPhone 6?

Or is it better to wait for the iPhone 6S (or what its successor will be named next year)?

I currently have a 5S, so no real need to jump the bandwagon!

(but a larger screen, and faster iPhone is always a nice-to-have)

Ehh. I know a few people with the iPhone 6 and they love it.

I have a regular 5. I want a 6 because I wanted a bigger model. I run out of 16 gigs fast. So when my upgrade comes in February I'll get the 64 gig. I also want the fingerprint reader because I'll actually start locking my phone. My wife has a 5 and is going to get an iPhone 5s.

As with any immediate phone release, I always wait 3-4 months and figure out on my own if the phones issues are worth dealing with. case in example, I waited for extensive tests on the LG G3, turns out, the load detecting mechanism on the 3.5mm goes crazy if a 3 prong connector isn't used with line out... I can live with that...

Can you live with any further issues popping out?

I went from a 5 to a 6+
If you have  a 5s, I would recommend waiting until the 6s is released, and upgrade every 2nd year like I do.
Here is what I would say about those problems too

1. bending - just buy a case for it. If you are buying an expensive phone, it should be the first thing you do anyway. The 300 in that video shown not one had a case to protect it.
2. colourisation - wont happen if you have a case.
3. apparently will be software fixed with 8.1.1 ( http://www.businesskorea.co.kr/article/7172/resolution-apple-change-controller-ic-nand-flash-used-iphone-6-iphone-6 ) but will be hardware fixed in the 6s

My 6 lives in my pocket and is still straight. The 6+ just looks too big (I went from a 4 to a 6) and offered other advantages apart from ois.
