Host: win 8.1

Against the VM itself, do you have guest services enabled under integration services?

Have you tried it with any other guest OS's? I've only ever seen this talked about when the host is running a server OS so not sure this feature is supported from a Win 8.1 stand point OR it could be that Win 10 doesn't support it.

Last thing to check is that Terminal Services is running on the guest as I believe the file copy uses RDS to perform the copy.

Guest services enabled. CHecked the guest services and it's running.

I tried it with VM Ware and it works.

Should I upgrade to the newest build and see if makes a difference?

Its worth a try, its a shame I don't have a Win 10 template in our 2012 environment or I could have given this a quick test.

I'll see if I can get something up and running just to see but it could take me a while.

I'm running 8.1 64bit and have Win10 in a VM under hyper-v and file copying from host to guest and vice versa works.

I don't have guest services enabled.

I take it you're using a virtual switch?

Thanks for confirming SledgeNZ, saves me a lot of hassle :) did you have to enable anything special to make it work?

Ultimate99 - did you check terminal services under the guest?

If you're using Virtual Machine Connection then correct that doesn't work, that's how it's designed.  You can type clipboard text and that's about it.  I use Remote Desktop to the machine and then everything works just great.

So how many threads you going to start with the same subject?

So - what guide, or what did you do to setup your VM.  What IP is your VM getting? So you setup a vswitch.. What adapter did you connect it too?

Can you show us your vswitch props?
