Good news if you've subscribed to EA's Access program. You can now play the Dragon Age: Inquisitiontrail for six hours starting today, ahead of the game's eventual release on November 18.

EA mentions that the game can be downloaded through the EA Access Hub app on Xbox One:

Members can download the trial through the EA Access Hub app on Xbox One, and play BioWare's epic new RPG for six hours. Use this time to create your hero, start your story, and explore the living, open world of Thedas. Or take on missions with your friends in Inquisition's cooperative multiplayer mode?the choice is yours.

The progress that you make during the early-access preview stage will be carried over to the actual game. EA Access members will also get a 10 percent discount while buying the game from the Xbox One Game Store.

Any EA Access subscribers interested in playing the game?

Is this game going to be good?

I've seen a few reviews and Let's Plays and it seems great if you liked DA:Origins.

I have it pre-loaded set to play at midnight on Tues.  Can't wait.

Been looking forward to this one (PC, few more days *sigh*), hoping they do it justice.. looking good from the early reviews so far though.

No, no more Justice, no more Anders.  :p

I remember when devs could just give you the full game with a time limit and trust you wouldn't be able to crack it too.

owait, no I don't.

What does offering demos have to do with piracy? They are not equivalent, or anywhere  close to it.

I remember when demos weren't pay-walled. Those were the days.

This comment would be ideal if it were true.

This is the FULL game for EA Access members...

Last I checked, Demos are just a predetermined slice of a game.

This is the FULL game and you have 6hrs to do what you want..

Its a full game with a time bomb on it.

Let me get that copy of The Wind Rises on Blu-Ray please... :D

Never said it did.  It was the work the developer doesn't have to do to release this I was referring to.

True, but you can play the game to try it out, without buying the full game. That sounds like a demo to me.

Can't save your progress in a demo.  You can save everything you do during your access time with DA.

When I get home, this will definitely get 6hrs of attention from me...As i'm on the fence with DA.

And if I chose to buy the game, I get to load my save progress and just pick up where I left off.

They seemed to be able to offer a demo for FIFA so why not Dragon Age? I'm sure a lot more people would if they were able to play a demo.

Maybe they'll release a time locked version of the game after it's released?

Edit - Okay Showan answered some of my questions :p I think they should offer the same thing for both EA Access members and everyone else, just give EA Access members early access.

All I can say is after the poor launches of DA1 and 2 I'd rather they were free to keep working on the game instead.  I don't know what happened back then but I'm hoping history doesn't repeat.

CAll it what you want but back in the day when demos were free it was like a stupid 5-10 minute section of a game and even on 360 it was the same but you had to download 1-5gb demo just to turn around have to dl a 7gb full version. Also i sure as hell dont remember getting any full games with my demo. WAY back in the day the only demos actually costed  like 4.99 because you had to buy the stupid playstation or xbox magazine. As with everything else demos have evolved each generation.

This is more "early access" than anything.  You get the full entire game for 6 hours to do what you want and if after that you like it then you buy it. I for one already bought it and will be getting to play for 6 hours this week ahead of release so i can get a jump start on my friends who cant start till next week!

Also early reviews i have seen have all been in the 9's and looking to be the best rated game of the season so far that's not a remake.

Fortunately, history doesn't seem to be repeating.  Can't speak for the lesser console or PC versions obviously, but the X1 version seems pretty dang good.

Still a little bit of corridor crawling, but I expect that from games that aren't current gen only.
