yas1320 Posted November 18, 2014 Share Posted November 18, 2014 Hi guys, I need some help. I have a arc mini r2. I have bought 2 akasa apache fans for it, which has 4 pins. The controller on the case Has only 3 pins, which I have just discovered. Is there any kind of adapter I can get so I can use the fans with the controller. Sorry if this question seems stupid. roguekiller23231 Posted November 18, 2014 Share Posted November 18, 2014 it should just slip on over the 3 pins, the 4th one does not have to be connected, the connectors are designed so they can go on 3 or 4 pin. the 4th pin on a fan is for the speed control adjustment, without it the fans will run at 100% speed. if your using a controller and you cant connect the 4 pins because of something obstructing it, get a 3 pin extension cable to add to it so you can then attach it.
