Charles Manson Set to Tie the Knot With 26-Year-Old Woman

Mass murderer Charles Manson is set to tie the knot with a 26-year-old woman who has spent years trying to exonerate him.

According to the Associated Press, a marriage license was issued Nov. 7 in Kings County, Calif. for the 80-year-old and Afton Elaine Burton, who goes by the name ?Star.?

No date has been set, but a wedding coordinator has been assigned by the prison to handle the nuptials, and the couple has until early February to get married before they would have to reapply.

Manson is imprisoned in California State Prison, Corcoran. His bride-to-be lives nearby and maintains several websites advocating his innocence.

The woman left her Midwestern home at 19 to move closer to Manson, who was convicted in the notorious murders of seven people, including pregnant actress Sharon Tate.

The wedding will likely happen in December, she told the Associated Press.

"Y'all can know that it's true," she said. "It's going to happen."

"I love him," she added. "I'm with him. There's all kinds of things."

Manson faces a life sentence and is not eligible for parole until 2027 ? when he would be in his mid-90s.

There seems to be a fetish in the US by a certain type of woman to hanker after long term or Green mile criminals. For some reason the women appear to evolve a unique mindset that somehow excuses all the interns have done to get where they are and devote their lives to campaigning for their release.

If memory serves it wasn't so much what he did before incarceration but what he did in prison that landed him in with a long term sentence and permanent isolation. There was a media announcement earlier in the year about an art display of his "works of art" painted since incarceration.

Who wouldn't want to get screwed by Charlie Manson ....

The entire state of California has been screwed by him as they have been paying for his room and board, healthcare, dental, food, etc for 46 years.

And if he can't ...errrm, perform ;) on the wedding night then I'm more than willing to take his place. :shifty:

Wait, what? Are you guys saying his future wife would be allowed to spent the night with him in his cell (thereby allowing for said quality time...)??? How the heck is prison even a punishment anymore if that's the case?? It's supposed to be a bad experience, so I don't know, maybe others won't want to go there!! And why is he even allowed to get married while incarcerated in the first place??

Edit: Nevermind, I missed the comment by the OP

That just seems way too soft, especially for somebody that did the things he did. No wonder our society is spiraling down the proverbial commode... we're turning into a bunch of pansies.

Am I the only one who thinks convicted murders shouldn't be allowed to do things such this? I mean, allowing him these huge privileges is a huge middle finger to all of the families he destroyed.

What's even more infuriating is that gay marriage isn't even legal everywhere yet, but he's allowed to do it? The US government is quite literally saying murders have more rights than gay people.

Ugh, this f'n country.

AIUI Mississippi is in the process of repealing yhsir conjugal visits, but if you tried to stop prisoners from getting married the ACLU would likely have a cow. I'd tell them to go jump off a cliff, but with today's ACLU and activist judges....
