Outlook.com Calendar Sharing

Hi

 

Is there a way to share a calendar but not have any email notifications?

I am sharing a calendar with someone who can view items but not change them.  However every time I change something or add an event, they get an email notification.

 

I have seen in the options for the calendar is says this:

 

Notifications
Email notifications
Get reminders for events and tasks
Get daily agenda

 

Will un-ticking the box stop them?

I still want notifications on my phone but I guess those are controlled by the event creation.
