watkinsx2
I could listen to Carl Sagan read a shopping list and it would still be awesome. Unobscured Vision, spacer and +E.Worm Jimmy 3 Share
spacer
I just saw this on APOD this morning. What a fantastic short film. It kind of makes me sad though, because I'd love to be doing what those humans are doing in the film, but we are no where close to that, technologically or socially. Shiranui
This movie needs to be longer! It kind of makes me sad though, because I'd love to be doing what those humans are doing in the film, but we are no where close to that, technologically or socially. All not as far away as you would think, but of the challenges you point out, it is the social side of things that will prove to be the toughest obstacle for humanity to overcome. I fear we will perish as a species before this becomes a reality, tantalizing close though it is.
Unobscured Vision
Carl Sagan could read Green Eggs and Ham and still make it profound and moving. I think it was a loss to the Multiverse itself that he was taken from us when he was, and truly criminal the manner which he was taken from us. I think Professor Sagan would have been pleased with the state of Science as it stands today ... although he would have been truly distressed with the state of the Humanity as it is today. We've never before been on the cusp of such wonderful discoveries, and such horrible tragedies, as we are now. The future is ours to decide, whether we love or hate; whether we cooperate or divide; whether we live or die. We cannot do both.. That's something I remember reading in one of his books as a teenager, a long time ago. I used to sneak into the local College Library to read them. ;)
