PS4 & DVD -R

I found an old DVD I ripped of pics of my kids when they were very young... My 3rd not even being born yet or even thought about...

I popped the DVD (DVD -R) into my PS4, hear the drive spin up trying to read the DVD, and to my surprise it says Media type not supported... This DVD isn't scratched, in fact it looks brand spanking new...

Is it just me?

Put it in your PC and see if it's readable, if so probably the PS4 just can't read the file types/formats on the DVD disk.
