DreadPirateRoberts
This is amazing. However I don't really see this doing that well in the future or they would have made a bigger deal of it on the news and stuff. I don't think its currently available because I looked on the website and there was nowhere you could buy them. You could only donate to help kick start the product. FrancoisC
One problem with that, not shown on the video, when you put your finger you're blocking the projector..
Unobscured Vision
First thing I was looking for was the 'Simulated images' disclaimer. There's no way you could use that and not block the projector. Nah. More overhype than useful. I'll take a smartwatch over that any day.
seafirex
The other thing that could cause issue is depending on the type of work you do or activity, if too much pressure is applied on the thing will it brake? It looks very fragile for what it does and depending how much it will cost, it could be a bad idea to get one of those things. It looks very cool and if it does not cost a lot i could end up getting one for sure. But i can't get this idea that it could brake real easy. DarkyDan
I'd just be worried about visibility in sunlight, glare, whatever. Could you imagine adhesive projection screens made specially for your forearm? A silly idea.
gameboy1977
I don't want to buy this bracelet. I will stick with cell phone, so I can type SMS with anyone on my cell phone.
astropheed Veteran Posted December 4, 2014 Veteran Share Posted December 4, 2014 I can't wait for the infomercials with a guy, in black and white, fumbling about because he can't possibly hold his phone while sitting on a couch. "Introducing the" *goes to full glorious color* "Cicret"!
Decebalvs Rex
One problem with that, not shown on the video, when you put your finger you're blocking the projector.. People should also shave their hands when using this.
remixedcat
Neat idea but a few things: 1) battery tech can't keep up the the size to performance ratio. This will need a lot of power to drive this at a brightness needed to be seen properly on the arm 2) you need very clean and smooth arms for this or have fun having extra artwork added to the display as well as very sore/irritated arms 3) this feels like it would break after a few days use. It would need to be metal/ruggedized. 4) projection tech is not this good for the lux needed for this. even really good home theater projectors still suck with light levels and white and black levels. (I've seen 10,000USD projectors in person that still suck) and outdoors it's gonna look liike a projector from the sixties.
