YouTube 4K video choppy in Chrome

Question

I'm having problem playing 4K video from YouTube in Chrome.  Using version 39 in 64bits on my iMac using Maverick.

No problem at all when using Safari, smooth playback.  I have the same problem with my Windows 8.1 PC, choppy playback in Chrome but it's smooth using IE or Firefox.

Does that mean that Chrome can't do 4K YouTube streaming?

That plays well but only very tiny problem...  it's like skipping a frame from time to time. Not too bad.

Other 4K videos play well..

The videos play smoothly other browsers.

That's what I said, the 4K video plays smooth/OK inside Safari, Firefox and IE (on Win8).

It's just Chrome that give me this choppy/laggy thing.  Darn, I do prefer Chrome...  Come on Google, fix this!!!

I can only play both videos in 1440, but there are other videos I can play in 4k, it's a weird thing in Chrome, might be codec related

Try this : Download "Magic Actions for YouTube" extension for Google chrome Here ,

Go to extension option > Enable Auto "HDUltra"  >Force Player "Flash"

let me know if you get better fps with this extension , if not i have other solutions...

I am running Google Chrome Canary and can run three 4k full screen videos with butter results. Perhaps you have too many extensions? The only extension I am running is ad block.
