What might be the best fitness tracker for Asia?

Recommended Posts

There are several good fitness trackers like Jawbone up and Fitbit. But in my country (Sri Lanka) I can only buy Samsung Gear Fit. My question is, what is the best for me? If I buy a jawbone or a fitbit from ebay or through a friend will it work well in my country? Or am I better off buying a gear fit (Which have a good discount right now in here)?

I went from a Fitbit Flex, to a Fitbit Charge to a Garmin Vivofit. The Flex was ok, but no display so you've got to sync to get info, if you have a smartphone it's no big deal, but I don't so I had to sync with my pc. The Charge was better but NOT water proof, sweat killed mine, the back has a space for the charger and mine filled with sweat - had to be returned it died. The Vivofit has been the best for me, comfortable enough to wear non-stop and waterproof, nice display but no back light. My wife loves her Fitbit One, but it's not water proof, and as a guy who sweats while running it wasn't for me.

A note Garmin has introduced the Forerunner 15 a GPS watch with an activity tracker built in, a marriage for the Vivofit and the Forerunner 10, for $30 more than the Vivofit. I looked into it, but the GPS sync time has some hating it, you have to stand still for a few with they talk and it sometimes drops while running. I'm hoping for a firmware update before I grab one.

Good Luck.

I'm a FitBit user. Bought one for my partner too and we both use them to death.

Thinking I will pick up an MS Band next :o

I was really thinking about it, but I could justify a fitness device that's not waterproof. While they are more than fitness bands, the last thing I need is another band, especially one that can't get wet.

Perfect!

Glad I could help.
