Interview with hacking group LizardSquad

Please remove this crap already. No need to give these schmucks more publicity.

LOL no.

I'm not on the game developers side on this one because it just shows that these games company's aren't that secure and if LizardSquad aren't doing things like this then someone else will at some point.

Maybe if they had better protection things like this wouldn't happen.

I'm sorry but I don't agree with you at all. The DOS attacks that these guys are using is the most amateur way of attacking anyone. You say "Developers" however their main targets seem to be attacking Xbox Live and PSN (not developers). All this does is take away services consumers are PAYING for enjoyment purposes.

Flooding servers with attacks are not the easiest thing to deal with, how do you differentiate between a real authentication request and those that are not? just figuring out if its a genuine request takes up bandwidth and processing power.

I'm sorry but these idiots are doing this for no other reasons then to rub their own pathetic ego's. If they want to "lead a revolution" go after a bank or a government body. What the hell do they hope to achieve by attacking these targets?

Grow up.

Also imagine this, your loved one is sick and you're rushing to the hospital, but the road is blocked by high school kids because they're doing it for the lols and you cannot get to the hospital. Enjoy.

Yeah I said Developers because in this video they where talking about the games company's they where attacking more than they where talking about having attacked PSN and Xbox Live and the reason for that is because this Video is 2 months old. Lizard Squad only recently really turned there attention back to PSN and Xbox Live.

i guess companies dont want to pay for proper security testing. if that was carried out more often then would be no room for these skiddy "hacker" groups that do more harm than good.

Although I understand your analogy, I don't think not being able to get onto PSN is like not being able to rush a loved one to the Hospital; maybe EB Games.

 maybe EB Games.

lmao - I'm not sure why, but that made me laugh.

Is that their argument? That they are exposing lapses in security?

Firstly, I don't think that is what they are doing.

Secondly, if indeed they were finding lapses in security and they wanted them to be remedied to protect everyone they would simply bring the issues to the attention of whoever it concerned.

There are thousands of company that are dossed and blackmailed each day, at least now the problem is getting some attention. How nowadays ISPs still don't sniff&kick out infected machines or how plain text passwords are used as sole authentication mechanism is still pretty absurd.

They mostly target Rockstar. Seen this posted at GTA forums and they just made fun of them lol. They're not hurting them but the gamers bc we end up not being able to access GTA online for a little bit.

Watching that interview makes me cringe.
They have no leader, no direction and no reason why they do what they do.
"because we can".
Dumbest excuse ever. I really hope Anonymous lives up to them being internet white knights and takes these guys down once and for all.

it's not about developers, they're not ruining anything for them, its the gamers they're ruining it for.

They're script kiddies who could hack a game if they got a pre made patched from razer. they turned their attention to DDoS because hitting the fire button on the low orbit ion cannon is about all they can do.

they don't deserve any attention.

as for game debs, if you don't like them or their games, don't buy them but ALSO don't pirate them. AND do not disrupt millions of other people who do not gave an issue with the rev and enjoy the games.

i guess companies dont want to pay for proper security testing. if that was carried out more often then would be no room for these skiddy "hacker" groups that do more harm than good.

There's very little you can do against DDoS attacks, has nothing to do with security.

"Anonymous" is just as full of it as these kids are.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were all the same attention seeking script kiddies.
