Looking for a sample or template

Question

Is the a tutorial, sample or template that will allow me to make a very simple website that does this:

Shows a list of items.

As a new one is added to the top, the others move down the list.

The list contains X number of items and when it reaches X then the older ones are moved to a previous page.

And so on. I hope I explained this clearly.

An example would be the main section of a site like, www.softexia.com, where each day new software is added and older software move down and off the list.

You can probably find other examples all around the net, including the software section of neowin.net. I know it can be down manually with a lot of work, but was hoping there might be a way to automate the process.

Thanks.

You'd be looking for a news feed my friend.

There's a number of ways to accomplish what you want fairly easily. As mentioned above a content management system (or CMS for short) is precisely what you'd be after. WordPress (alternate website) is a relatively popular way to accommodate to what you need, if you give a little more detail about what it is you're after I may be able to find you exactly what you're after without a million options (like wordpress) that don't pertain or make a difference to what you may be updating.

Edit: Realized you're asking how to make a news feed. Are you looking for any language in particular?
