Has ANYONE manged to get Windows 2012 R2 installed on these IBM Servers. Its not as if they are not powerful enough (Xeon,64+ GB RAM etc) so it must be drivers to blame. I found it was because the early Xeon processors don't have PAE, NX and SSE2 support which excludes them from being able to run Windows 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-8/what-is-pae-nx-sse2 Might be worth running CPU-Z or similar on an OS that does work to identify if this is the issue in your case also. I will have to check that but I wasn't told that this came up with an error as it suggests in the article link you posted.
