Microsoft Starts Accepting Bitcoins in Windows,Windows Phone,XBOX Stores

Microsoft has started accepting Bitcoins for buying digital content.Users can now add funds to their MS Account with bitcoin.

 

However people won't be able to buy digital content directly with bitcoin right now. Here's what Microsoft says:-

 

"You can only use Bitcoin to add money to your Microsoft account and then purchase digital goods at select Microsoft online stores. You can?t use Bitcoin to purchase Microsoft products and services directly at this time"

So whats the point of adding them to your account. And I am surprised at MS. I thought BitCoin was frowned upon as been an "underground" currency.
