Is there an official Intel utility and/or Nvidia utility?

Recommended Posts

This system has the Intel i7-4700 mobile and a Nvidia 770m. (i apologize for the past, I thought this had the 870m)

does anyone know if either intel or nvidia have utilities to squeeze and get the most out of these processors?

They both auto throttle up when needed. Since it's a mobile chip, I wouldn't overclock anything due to thermal issues.

However, install Full Throttle Override, and add apps to the list and have it change to "Performance" profile when those apps are being run. That's a decent way to know the CPU is at 100% performance and not clocking down when running specific apps or games.

thanks xendrome. I'm skitish about overclocking so I don't do that but usually vendors have deeper features, I assume, that can be accessed through a utility to get the most features used that one can is all.

I'd be too afraid to overclock and fry this laptop
