Windows 10 & Bluetooth

Recommended Posts

Anyone know how to get bluetooth working in 10 ?

There are no apparent Help files to read.

Going to the Bluetooth setting would not allow me to add a device.

Installed CSR program, and it does not even appear.

10 is pretty useless if I can't use my headphones.

Thanks.

OMG -- you should be slapped silly & kicked in the rear end !

It wasn't Windows 10, at all.

Resolved:

I left my bluetooth dongle in the old desktop.

I was plugging in a keyboard dongle all this time. :pinch:

No wonder I was not getting Bluetooth.

I updated to all the latest motherboard drivers for Windows 8.x too -- so maybe that helped.

Installed CSR Harmony drivers.

Plugged in the dongle to my new desktop.

After a few seconds my Windows 10 lit up and Bluetooth was enabled.

Headphones paired up and now I am a'rockin'.

Nothing I can't solve ....

Hello,
just a clarification: so, is Windows 10 compatible with Bluetooth (CSR Harmony)? I have an USB dongle manufactured by CSL (German manufacturer) bought on Amazon and I'd like to know if it will work with this OS

So it was PEBKAC then? My friend, if you can fix that, let me know how you did it. I've been trying for years, and nothing.

FYI, Hum has not been around since January.

He could be moved on to the better things or became ill.

I just asked 'cause Microsoft / Windows made me install an app ("Get Windows 10") and in the upgrade advisor / compatibility section it says the only problem I have is with the Bluetooth (as in my previous post)

I have a CSR Harmony usb bluetooth I use for my logitech wireless keyboard.  When I first upgraded to Win 10 it would not work and there were no new drivers available.  I got it working by:
1) using the CSR software disk to uninstall the software.
2) Rebooted and reinstalled the CSR software.

All seems to be working fine now )
