Need help with Conditional Formatting

Question

Hello!

So I am trying to do something in excel that sounds easy in my head, but when I sit down and try to do it, I am not able to get it to work.

I hope I can explain it well enough for someone to assist me, or guide me towards the right direction.

what I need to do is....

D2, E2, AND F2 are white as long as a user has not typed anything into A2.

If user types something into A2, it turns D2 Green, and turns E2 and F2 red. E2 and F2 will only remain red as long as B2 and C2 do not have data.

If that sounded confusing, I think a description of what I am trying to do will help....

I am trying to do a type of validation, I need to make sure that every cell has information...

I was able to get it to show all red and using isblank, to turn the cells green. The problem with that is that with row 4 which has not been started, comes up all red, our users will call me and ask why they have red....

I know my explanation is not that great, please ask questions and ill answer, thank you!!!
