Another year draws to a close. Many games have been hyped, marketed, released, patched and played. Some were even good. What kept your attention for more than 10 minutes this year? And what do you hope can do the same next year?

My favorite game of 2014 so far was Child of Light very tightly followed by Shadow of Mordor and DA:Inquisition....

 

And rounded off wit Titanfall

Toss up between Horizons 2 and Far Cry 4 on XB1, and Ethan Carter on PC, which i only got because of a review here and found it outstanding.

As for 2015, nothing yet, sometimes my favourite games are the best surprises. So come on publishers and devs, get surprising me!

My favs so far, NFS Rivals (fun game) and Wolfenstien The New Order (absolutely incredible!), both played on PC.

For next year Id like another NFS game, but bring back customizations like the Underground games.

Not sure what Id want for a FPS, maybe another Wofenstien or new Battlefield.

This has been a pretty strange year in games for myself. Games I should have liked, I really did not. I also found myself getting bored very easily with games (I still have only played about 2 hours of Sunset Overdrive for no good reason).

 

Currently I have an insane backlog, and it truly is insane (over 10 high profile titles), yet I am mainly playing "smaller games," in particular

Xeodrifter (3DS Game) and The Walking Dead: Season 02, with some Driveclub for good measure.

 

I think this year more than ever was the year that reflects the fact I really do not have a lot of time to play games, so I gravitate towards quicker experiences rather than long drawn out experiences. Far Cry 4 was the exception to that rule, but I also started playing it when I had a week off from work.

Well Dragon Age Inquisition is high on my list of favorites for the year, but I'll revisit this when I'm finished with the game.

My game of the year was Dragon Age: Inquisition. Put in 80 hours since it came out.

 

Looking forward to The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Final Fantasy Type0, Batman Arkham Knight, The Order 1886, Quantum Break, Legend of Zelda.

Far cry 4

Wolfenstein new world order

All new releases from telltale games and also the detail ep1

(Short and sweet interactive adventure stories I like so much)

There were couple other but I cannot think which ones right now.

2015 most anticipated:

Witcher 3

Grim Fandango and new kings quest and space quest game.

Favorite Games of 2014:

 

PS4 Multiplayer:  Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition (because of couch co-op with the gf and even 4 player couch coop with other couples who come over)

PS4 Singleplayer:  Shadow of Mordor (note I haven't tried Dragon Age: Inquisition as it came out too late and is thus on the top of my Christmas List, same deal for FarCry 4)

 

PC:  Wasteland 2

 

Overall: I'm going to go with Diablo III just because of the social experiences I've had with it this year.  We really need a Rock Band 4 for PS4 as a nice get together game but for now Diablo III will do.

PS4 Multiplayer:  Alienation (I think that's couch coop...)

PS4 Singleplayer:  Batman: Arkham Knight

I'd say my favorite game this year was Titanfall.  It provided a ton of fun and a good change of pace in the multiplayer area from call of duty.  Granted, I think the game I'm most looking forward to for 2015 is The Division and maybe Quantum Break which also looks awesome.  But definitely The Division.

biggest disappointments

1.WWE 2K15 (they botched the game, ruined the controls)

2.COD MP. After sinking 100+ hours, ive come to the conclusion Ghosts was way better

looking forward to

4.Uncharted 4(will rent console for this,not buying a ps4)
