Need help for Prof GPU replacement

Hi,

 

This system is for my sister and its around 2 years old.

 

Intel Core i7 3770

Intel Mobo

16 GB DDR-III 1600 MHz

Corsair vs650 PSU

 

We had ATi FirePro v4800 but recently the card has died. Tried for warranty but found the card had 2 years warranty and its over.. So looking for a new as replacement, but problem is, in Indian local market, I am unable to find anything decent for Prof series. The newer W5000 or W7000 are really really over priced here since not being mainstream :(

 

Question that I have is can the mainstream grfx cards, like AMD R9 27x series be any useful for her work ?? Like rendering and such ??

 

What should I do, the v4800 is still selling (only ATi prof card in market, be it on or offline I can find) but she says she would need bit more than that :(

Get another professional card. consumer cards have good numbers...for gaming. a v5800 would be a good replacement.
