+Cryton Subscriber² Posted December 23, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted December 23, 2014 How is the monitor connected to his PC? VGA, DVI or HDMI or DP?
Nick H. Supervisor Posted December 23, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted December 23, 2014 Can he recreate the error? Otherwise we'll just be speculating. It could be a problem with the hardware, an issue with the drivers...How long has he had the monitor? Has the problem happened before?

Nick H. Supervisor Posted December 23, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted December 23, 2014 How?I don't know how he would recreate the error as we don't know what caused the error to begin with, but perhaps he had done some troubleshooting to try and recreate it in order to try and figure out what the possible issue could be. For example, if he had recently changed a wire and then noticed the blurriness, we could work on the idea that it's a cable issue, and from there he could switch out the cables to make sure that it isn't the issue. EDIT: I should probably add that if he can't recreate the issue, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I would say the same thing to clients who brought their "broken" laptops in to the office to me to fix, but then they couldn't recreate the issue. "I can't fix something that isn't broken, even if I can offer suggestions as to what caused the problem."

Nick H. Supervisor Posted December 23, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted December 23, 2014 Ok.. so if will repeat we will have an ideea.. but hope it won't Exactly. Repeat the same steps that he went through to first get the issue, and if it happens again we can look in to the issue further. For all I know at the moment it could have been an exceptionally cold night, causing the monitor to take a bit longer to warm up today. If you just want to speculate, though...well, we could be here all day with suggestions.
