nukenorman
So I am thinking about switching to windows phone and I know that iPhone has an app permissions control center. Android you can see the app permissions before you install the program and if you do not like it r accept all of it you cant install the program. What about windows 8 phone? Does it allow you to turn off some app permissions like i0S? does it even show you what permissions like android does?

nukenorman
Thanks but is there a way like Apple where I can accept certain app permissions or not? Or is it like Android that I have to accept them all or nothing. I like Android but I leary of it because Android is owned by google that makes its money off data mning peoples information where Apple and Microsoft not in the business of doing that primarily. There is a level of control but I don't have my phone with my at the moment to check, you can turn some things off in some apps, that's up to the developer, like location. Other apps might not give you that option in their settings though. At a OS level you can turn an apps background processing on or off though, but so far there's no way to turn specific permissions off for apps, the apps need to offer those options in their own settings. Again, some do, some don't though.
neo158
All apps on the Store show the app permissions before you install it in the details pivot in the Notes there is a "Requires:" section which lists all the permissions that the app requires.
