What Would You Buy with $300 on Amazon?

radar detectors are overrated.  had some of the best and you know what they did for me...absolutely nothing.  Learn to drive smart, know where you can and can't break the law if that is what you are going to do.  Understand 2 things, you can't travel faster than light and you can't beat a cop...until you can do these two things all a detector is going to do is let you know when you have been caught.  The rear view mirror and knowing your surroundings are far better than any detector money can buy.  But if you like that false sense of security, go for a valentine one....all others are garbage.

We had some Cobra ones years back that did alright out in flat country, they'd pick em' up a couple of miles away, but here in the mountains, not so much, and if you have anything in your back window, they don't pick up anything behind you, they've got to have a clear shot out the back window.  The other down-side is that (I don't know what types of systems they pick up) sometimes if a cop is just hid out using his laser, the laser doesn't get detected until it's fired, and the thing would scream "Laser Alert!" and go dormant for a minute or so.  By that time he has already clocked you so it's too late.  They are also bad to pick up security systems as some of the older radar types, so you'll hear a lot of beeps on X or K band and realize it's just because you're driving up to a building with a security system.

Most agencies are using Laser now, so by the time they hit you with the laser, your radar detects it instantly, but it's to late, they just got you :)

That's because it uses a Doppler effect, so by the time those devices "detect" the Doppler, you are screwed.

Anyways does anyone know if some ladies that escort people accept Amazon vouchers? If yes then OP you have another option. :D

For around $20-$30 more, you can just buy the leaf blower.  It works much better, and you can use it to blow the leaf too ;) ...

Every month, I just take my computer outside backyard and less than 1 minute, the computer is clean with leaf blower.

Honestly the best to remove dust in pc's and keyboards is this.

http://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-C2002-WK-Oil-Free-Compressor-Accessory/dp/B000N5UHK0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1419970282&sr=8-3&keywords=compressor

Never run out of compressed air and has about 10x the pressure of a air can.  150psi beats 15 any day.  the can will leave fuzz, this will strip it off.  A vacuum will only get so deep.

I'd buy some retro jordans or teh brand new Kobe or LeBron :p

That would be a waste of money (especially for a shoe made in a sweatshop in a 3rd world country). Now a pair of Danner boots on the other hand would be well worth the money. i know some law enforcement friends that have had these boots for 15+ years (with some recrafting by danner of course)

The posted duster is  a very powerfull duster . no compressor needed .  its not a vacuum . Also if going to get a compressor you have to mention that it has to have a moisture trap.

for these small ones you don't.  for a 40+gallon you do.  I have a 15 at home that I have used for cars and have yet to have an issue with moisture in 15+ years of using it with my 15+ year old impacts and wrenches.  They fill constantly enough that the air doesn't sit long enough to condensate in the tank creating moisture.  Empty the tank when done.  With an air gun it is easy to deplete a 15 gallon tank in less than 90 seconds, or you can hit the purge and be done in 20.  These small little ones I can deplete in no time, the compressor is constantly going.

They Do. They are an alloy toe which is just as strong or stronger than steel toe and meets osha/astm standards requirements for PPE (personal Protective Equipment).

I would buy a lot of Amazon branded diapers and Amazon branded baby wipes.

I am still in school and don't have any children, but this is still a cool idea.

Hey Everyone!

So... over the past couple years, I've built up some rewards with Amazon via my credit card. I now have about $300 to spend.

Problem?

I don't know what the freak to buy!  I'm a techy (otherwise I wouldn't be here) and so far, the only logical way I can spend the money is on two Seagate NAS drives, in a RAID 1 setup.  I could use the storage and the reliability really.

However, I'm troubled that buying that wouldn't feel like I'm getting something I want, but rather just something I need...

I'm at a loss really. What would you do with $300 to splurge with on Amazon? :)

If your points don't expire and you have patience... I would wait to see what goodies are shown at CES 2015... That's if you plan to get all techied up...

OR you can go with them boots you were eyeballing....
