Thomas the Tank Engine
I live in employee housing, and I'm letting one of my coworkers connect wirelessly to my router/modem and I want to be able to monitor bandwidth, etc. I don't want to keep logging into My Account site from Shaw just to see a general bandwidth graph that just shows how much your account used. The few things I've found only let me monitor my own wired connection, kind of useless....................
dragon2611
If your router supports SNMP you could use a network monitoring tool to keep track of bandwidth usage. Something like the free version of PRTG would do it, Also Cacti/Zabbix can do it. Someone here might be able to suggest an SNMP monitoring utility that's a bit ligher than the ones I've suggested as they are more for monitoring whole networks rather than a single device so might be a bit over the top for what you want
Thomas the Tank Engine
The router is built into the modem, which is a Motorola SURFboard SBG6782.
