RangerLG
I have an installation using the built in Intel adapter on an HP desktop. All drivers are current. We purchased two matching 23" Acer monitors and plugged one up VGA and the other DVI-D (dual link cable). The DVI monitor is the main display and the VGA is 2. On the DVI monitor, the maximum resolution is listed as 1680x1050 and the screen is not clear. The recommended resolution is 1600x900. Number 2 has a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 listed as recommended and the screen is clear. I have tried a couple of different cables to make sure the DVI cable was not bad. What else could be the issue as to why I cannot get 1920x1080 on both monitors? Thanks for the help.

RangerLG
Strange thing happened. I downgraded the DVI monitor to 50Hz and magically, the 1920x1080 resolution showed up. I then upped it to 60Hz and now both are running 1920x1080 at 60Hz. Thanks.
