0 Aergan
You could try installing the Apple Bootcamp utilities, it works for my drives.
0 #Michael
Dang, still on Win7 Sorry...if you are staying on Win7 for the forseeable future then this software might be worth the purchase. It is a great piece of software.
0 +KibosJ Subscriber² Posted January 8, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted January 8, 2015 If you're just looking to read the drives then the bootcamp utilities would be the best option. That is what I use to read my Mac formatted drives. Used to use Mediafour MacDrive, but it started causing weird issues with one of my drives in Mac Aergan 1 Share

0 Ryoken
MacDrive is what I used to use, worked great.. or as was mentioned, use the Apple Read-Only HFS Driver for Windows from the bootcamp drivers.
0 Brandon H Supervisor Posted January 8, 2015 Supervisor Share Posted January 8, 2015 I can tell you from experience that Paragon's hfs & ntfs software is really the only good option everything else is either sub-par or unstable or only allows read but not write there's a dual deal as well http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-hfs-bundle/ it's really not too badly priced for what it's worth, especially if you make use of it
0 +BudMan MVC Posted January 8, 2015 MVC Share Posted January 8, 2015 Well I took it that OP requested READ... "I have a Mac formatted external HDD which I would like to be able to read within Windows" Which I can for say the hfsexplorer does that stable, easy, free... If have had to do anything else with a HFS disk, I have just mounted under linux. Real easy to boot a linux live CD and do whatever it is you need to do to the disk. Hfsprogs is like every single linux distro anyone would be using is it not? Brandon H 1 Share
