The company insists it is still committed to launching the smart glasses as a consumer product, but will stop producing Glass in its present form. Instead it will focus on "future versions of Glass" with work carried out by a different division to before. They may be balking at the ban issue... or finding that with coming competition and development, the cost is just too high with that hardware. I'd prefer to think that they just have a major upgrade on it. I edited my post. Doesnt look like it is dead. Just media jumping to conclusions as usual. Looks like changes are coming. Current product had issues, like battery life. But doesnt mean it is dead currently. Apple halts sales of products on their site when a new revision is due as well. But who knows. Google doesnt necessarily talk about things like this much. And here is more info on Glass...
