Mindovermaster Moderator Posted January 21, 2015 Moderator Share Posted January 21, 2015 I am currently using Crunchbang, you know their default WM is Openbox. I like separate task bars on both screens. The one thing I don't like about it, is that RecordMyDesktop doesn't seem to want to work with it. It shows it working, theres a red box around my screens, but i don't see the window nor the notification is running. So I went over to XFCE4, and it works there, no problem. But, all my apps are on one bar. What I don't want. So I tried Gnome and KDE, but wouldn't work right for those same reasons. Would you suggest Fluxbox, Compiz or perhaps WMii? I tried Awesome before, never really liked the tiling windows.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted January 23, 2015 Author Moderator Share Posted January 23, 2015 No replies in about 24 hours? I tried KDE, Gnome, etc. Just, nothing works like I want it to... If no suggestions, I'll just stay with XFCE4...
simplezz
I like separate task bars on both screens.Do you mean two panels? You can add as many as you like in XFCE.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted January 25, 2015 Author Moderator Share Posted January 25, 2015 Currently, Firefox and XChat are on my right monitor. Skype is on my left monitor. All windows are on my left top.
