jnelsoninjax
When Diane Andryshak left her home in Middletown, New York on Monday morning, she figured her husband would spend the day renovating their home. Instead, her hubby, James Rhein, chose to bulldoze it, without bothering to tell her -- or anyone else. Andryshak came home to see the the house -- which was in her name only -- completely demolished, according to neighbor Steve Belfiglio.

DocM
That or he was talking and she wasn't listening. Women often talk about how they want men to talk to them, but in reality all they want to hear is their opinions in a deeper voice. firey, +E.Worm Jimmy, MikeChipshop and 1 other 4 Share

+therealDamien Subscriber¹ Posted February 24, 2015 Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 24, 2015 also you dont destroy a house just because the foundation is bad. you can lift the house(mount jacks under the house) and replace the foundation.... +E.Worm Jimmy 1 Share

spacer
I can't even imagine how he thought this was a good idea. So, so many questions I need answered. He must have some diagnosed mental condition. It's the only thing I can think of that would explain his behavior. Forget about the utilities, and permit, and all the other stuff. Any sane man would know that he if destroyed all of his wife's things without her knowledge or consent, she would be immediately (and probably irrevocably) furious with him. /boggle
FloatingFatMan
I did something vaguely similar with our back garden once. My wife and I have an agreement. I hate gardening, so the back yard is for her to look after. She wasn't keeping her end of the deal up and it was getting more and more overgrown. Came last summer,,she was going away with the kids with her parents whilst I cat sit, and I mentioned I might tidy the garden whilst she was gone, expecting a list of her objections.. She said nothing, so.. when she returned, the bushes were gone, all her overgrown plants were gone, the overgrown lawn was gone.. All there was, was freshly turned over and raked soil. She just gaped, and I said "Next time, listen when I tell you I'm gonna tidy it." So, I'm betting the guy in this story told his wife what he was gonna do before hand, and she just didn't listen. +Raze and MikeChipshop 2 Share

No reasonable human would expect 'tidy' to mean 'remove entirely' so your story isn't really one of her not listening if you didn't actually tell her what you were really going to do. xrobwx71
Yep, I think he needs professional help. Cranial C.T. scan would be a good start and I'm not being facetious or sarcastic. I had a very good friend who was very ritualistic (not related to religion) in his daily life. He was very mild and friendly. One day those routines (where he put his keys, how and when he made coffee, ect) abruptly stopped and he became somewhat hostile, according to his wife. A few weeks later, he was diagnosed with 2 brain tumors in which killed him 7 months later.
+E.Worm Jimmy Subscriber¹ Posted February 24, 2015 Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 24, 2015 Whatever their problems were, or he though they were... bulldozing a house out of the blue seem a "bit" irrational. clearly not everything was fine in his head and most likely in this family. pretty funny though, just taking the whole house down, as is... not so funny if the gas leak would have exploded, causing damage to the neighbors, and potentially killing or injuring someone.
