Who leaves an iPad, $5000 and a laptop in an unlocked car? That's just asking for trouble!

Who leaves it in a car, period? Locked or unlocked, it's asking for trouble.

If you leave so much in a car you deserved to be rob. Don't feel sorry for victim at all.

So what you are saying is that he deserved what he got.

quite possibly.   i would never leave expensive electronics in the car,      but to have thousands of dollars in cash too, and not even lock the car is pretty dumb of him.

i am not saying that it was right or just, but it was asking for trouble.

Not at all, although he was being a bit stupid leaving things in his car, you shouldn't give a thief an excuse to act.

It would be nice to leave things lying about and not worry about other people taking them but sadly that is far from the world we live in.

I would not say he deserved to be rob. But yeah I don't feel sorry for dumb people too. And leaving 9k worth of goods in your car without someone watching it is dumb locked or not.
