SuperlativeTheory
I'm currently in the process of building a small render farm. Right now, I'm looking at buying the motherboards and chassis. Before I go and spend a ton of cash on something, only to find that it's not going to work, I thought I'd check on here; Is this board:http://www.supermicro.com/Aplus/moth...x0/H8DGU-F.cfm going to fit this chassis?http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...439&catid=2729 Not entirely sure, as the motherboard is described as having a proprietary form factor, and appears to be (marginally) larger than the standard sizes that this chassis holds. If not, could anyone recommend another (hopefully fairly priced) dual socket G34 board, that supports dual 12 Core Opteron 6172s? Also; I've decided upon the larger 4U cases, in order to allow for a little more muscle in terms of cooling, given that as a renderfarm, the CPUs are going to be running at 100% capacity for the majority of the time, for extended periods of time. SuperlativeTheory
That board will it inside the case you are looking at. Awesome, thanks. Wasn't sure if the mounting pins would use a different layout or something, what with it using a proprietary form factor, so I figured that I should check before buying!
