Skiver Veteran Posted January 29, 2015 Veteran Share Posted January 29, 2015 Hi guys, I was troubleshooting an issue where for some reason, despite my AD user being assigned to a group and said group being assigned to a role, I can't see that role when I log into the Web Portal. However another concern is that if a user who is assigned to no AD groups/Roles in SCVMM, they can see ALL roles and select to login to any one of them. Now once they are in they get an error and they can't do anything, which is fine. I'm sure in the grand scheme of things this really doesn't matter but it makes me think I've missed some option. It seem's silly for when users are only assigned to one role it logs them straight in but then the above should surely just show 0 roles? Error when logging user associated to no roles; Category: Warning Description: Unable to connect to: UK VMM Details: Category: Critical Message: Microsoft.SystemCenter.CloudManager.Providers.ProviderException Description: The requested User Role was not found. Web error status: UnknownError Web response description: Not Found Web response status code: NotFound Anyway, any idea about either of these two?
