xendrome Posted February 2, 2015 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Sounds like you are going to need to use some 3rd party server manager on the users workstation, that connects to the server via Domain Admin rights, but the user just has access to run it locally on their machine. TPreston Posted February 2, 2015 Author Share Posted February 2, 2015 Considering there's a powershell command id tend to believe there's a way to make this work, The documentation for Enable-ServerManagerStandardUserRemoting Provides one or more standard, non-Administrator users access to event, service, performance counter, and role and feature inventory data for a server that you are managing by using Server Manager. I'm pretty sure that command makes a change to the user rights assignment list. which generally, needs a reboot to re-enumerate the assignment lists.
