TurboTax Temporarily Halts E-Filing In All States Amid Fraud Concerns

Up to 18 states are reporting significant upticks in fraudulent activity and there may be a common thread: tax preparation software.

 

Individual State Departments of Revenue are loathe to name names but have been quick to point the finger away from their own systems.

It was only a matter of time before this kind of stuff started happening and I can't believe it's taken this long.

 

Not a whole lot of software you can trust with personal info going over the net. As convenient as it is, it has way to many ways where things can go wrong.

I had my finished last month and just got tax return in the bank.

wouldnt the old fanshioned way involve sending it in the mail? because thats even less secure then turbotax

 

and tax offices can have the same fraud problems.
