cosrocket
I'm running Windows 10 Tech Preview Build 9926, and when I tried to install the latest Windows Update (KB3036140) it is stuck at the update window the the status bar blank at 0% and it won't go anywhere. The problem is even after rebooting the PC, it's still at the same place and I cannot get it to reset so I can try to install the update again. Does anyone have any advice n how I can reset Windows Update in Windows 10 Tech Preview? Thanks.
Chris123NT
I've seen that on a few boxes here, only way I've been able to get around it is to apply a reg tweak and use the old style WU applet in the control panel. Here's the tweak: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX] "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings] "UxOption"=dword:00000000 Ci7 1 Share

+KibosJ Subscriber² Posted February 6, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted February 6, 2015 I had this issue and at the time I was downloading music (spotify). As soon as spotify had finished windows update started moving, maybe it pauses when there are downloads going or something?
