Ian S.
There's a slight issue with this, or rather a large one. While Amazon may sell a few million Amazon Fires, Microsoft will be selling many more copies of Windows 10 and, on a variety of hardware that Amazon couldn't even reach if it tried. +Zagadka Subscriber² Posted February 7, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted February 7, 2015 Microsoft Support already easily provides remote services and can remotely control a PC, even through reboots. It doesn't take much.
Dick Montage
Your train of thought derailed beofre it left the station. If grandma cannot update a driver (should she? should she even care?) then she goes back to who sold her the computer, not one piece of software from a company who have no control over the PC as a whole. binaryzero 1 Share
+Zagadka Subscriber² Posted February 8, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted February 8, 2015 Also, you have to keep in mind that Amazon has a much smaller user base and a much narrower support channel.
binaryzero
I don't understand why Grandma would be updating a video card driver? Updating drivers is something average users don't do.
Quillz
What I am trying to say is that Microsoft should put out a service like this to humanized the company. It's irrelevant if grandma can take her computer elsewhere. Microsoft is already staffed by humans. Dick Montage 1 Share
