Check your account settings in the settings.. Make sure that sync is enabled for contacts, calendar, etc.  It should be synced automatically on your devices including iPhone.

Download iCloud control panel for windows. This tool will allow you to sync to icloud via multiple accounts.

I never use that tool.

All you do is setup account and make sure the sync is enabled for contacts, calendar, etc.  If you don't want calendar, then turn sync off for that feature.

At the risk of asking a silly question...

I noticed that you have a jailbroken ipad, is this the device you're trying to use the sync to icloud?

(Is it possible now it's jailbroken etc...)

Add outlook email account on your iphone and you will be asked to either to keep sync on or not for each feature you want... then go from there.

Then hit sync button in order to sync your data to icloud.

It doesn't matter if it is jailbroken or not. It works either way.

ok, I wasn't sure, thanks :)

I have outlook on mine for calendar.  I added events on outlook.com calendar on the web then the events show up on calendar on my apple device automatically and instantly.  :D

I have contacts but the contact sync is off on the apple devices... I have contacts on my android devices. Sync automatically... no problems so far.

go to the settings on your phone and go to icloud section. Make sure those features such as contacts, calendar, etc are on. If not, turn them on..

then go to the mail, contacts, calendars section.  Tap on your outlook account and check the settings there and make sure they are right as the way you want.

Once are done, then go to contacts and see if you see any contacts on either iPhone and the web. If not, hit sync.

If not working, then you can try either Marshall's suggestion (which I never use the tool) or if you are in USA, go to Best Buy or Apple store, they will setup it up for you. Not sure what stores you have in your country if you are not in USA.

I would set it up for you if you were nearby. I can't go out for a few days if the snow gets heavy here. I hope the weather will miss us here.

iTunes and iCloud are two different things.

Do you have an iCloud account set up on your iPad? What do you see if you go to iCloud.com on a web browser?

Not to sound condescending in any way but can I ask why you need to backup your outlook information in iCloud when outlook does that for you?  I only use iCloud to backup the iDevice data (apps, device layout, etc...).  All of my email accounts sync by themselves.  I don't have a reason for iCloud to do that.  That just runs the risk of duplicate everything.  I don't even use iCloud for picture backup anymore as onedrive now does background uploads as pictures are taken.

He wants his outlook contacts in iCloud so he can visit icloud.com ...  Read his posts carefully.

That's why he wants contacts to be synced to all devices so he can get the contacts anytime no matter what device he uses.

Then I am really missing something.  If an outlook account is attached to any device...everything is synced.  Is he only looking to have iCloud in use and not have an outlook account on a device?

No, he wants outlook contacts in iCloud contacts...  which he said they aren't showing up like it's supposed to... that's why he is having a problem with it.  It works on my end without any tools. He might have missed a step or sync problem in OS.

So he could access the contacts anywhere... no matter if it's on the device or on the web.

  • 1 month later...

That's Rather Odd - under Contacts in iCloud, there is actually a setting for Outlook.com.  (And for Google+.  And for Yahoo. And for SkyDrive/OneDrive.)  My Apple ID is, in fact, identical to my Microsoft Account (with a different password).  It's been that way since the only change I made with my Apple ID (which used to be my Google Account with a similar mod to the Google defaults), due to my using more Microsoft services than Google services.
