2 x 8 pin PSU for dual Opteron board?

Recommended Posts

I'm currently building a dual-opteron server. The board that I'm using is a Supermicro H8DGU.

I now have all of the parts, minus the PSU.

As I've never built a dual CPU system before, I'm not entirely sure about what the requirements would be. The board requires two 8-pin connectors, in addition to the standard 24 pin.

Would something like this substantial?

Or am I going to want something with a higher wattage output?

(A gold-rated PSU is preferable, given how much power this thing is going to eat up as it is)

Edit: I'm assuming that the 6+2 connectors, on the linked PSU are going to work?

I don't think so.

Connectors: 1 x 20+4pin, 1 x 4+4pin, 6 x SATA, 5 x Molex, 1 x FDD, 2 x 6+2 PCI-Express

You would need two 1 x 4+4pin, the 6+2 are for video cards. I would also think it would be a good idea to consider more wattage.
