Facebook and Linkedin registration invites... from unknown?

Hi,

 

yesterday I received a series of email from unknown people that tell me that if I want I can register to Facebook... after only a day I receive some registration from unknown people to register to Linkedim.

 

How is possible that I receive invitation form unknown people that don't have my mail address.

 

I'm not registred to Facebook and Linked.

 

I don't now.

 

Some explain? Simple spam from Facebook and Linked? 

 

But how they find my email address? Gmail sell my address to them? (I think that this is not possible...)

 

Do you have the same problem something and receive email registration invitation from unknown people?
