Dell XPS 13 vs Lenovo Carbon X1

Recommended Posts

I am not sure which to get. I have them both spec'd to 1080P, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, and i5 CPU.

Is there any specific reason to get one over the other that I don't know about? or should I just let price be what sways me?

It is very hard to recommend without knowing your values. I recommend reading the differences in reviews and going with what you feel will best suit your needs for your budget.

I don't know the Dell, but we have the Lenovo Carbon X1 at work. I have never seen a laptop model fail so much in my life. Our models all have M2 drives and the failure rate is abysmal. I went through 3 laptops in 4 months, and we bought around 800 of them.

The latest X1 generation doesn't have those failure rates.

We received the laptops with port replicators (both generations), and I cannot express how bad these are.

Based on my experience, I would recommend the Dell. I remember reading some reviews on the Dell, all of them praising it a lot.

Lenovo has some shady things going on lately, I would pick dell right now. It's newer, more compact, and really looks elegant.

The new HP looks awesome too. Just something to consider.
