Neat Screen shot leak, the original already been removed from neogaff due to fear of the NDA.

They need to add a feature to search all apps/games for updates and update if necessary (as opposed to every app/game, one at a time). I realize it would do that in rest mode but I want to do it on the fly.  Nothing more frustrating than launching a game, a notification appearing in the upper left saying that there's an update, I then have to exit the game, install the update, then re-launch. There has to be a better way of doing that. Also, when I install a game I don't want to immediately play, it'll notify & start downloading an update. The update will just sit in Downloads and when clicking it, it then launches the game after it installs. ARGGGGGGG no, I just want to install the patch, I'll play the game later.

Apparently custom button mapping as well

Hearing that the PS4 suspend mode is working "perfectly" and "awesome" and that button mapping works great. Works in-game

Will make Diablo 3 massively easier via remote play (along with 60FPS).

You can select the app / game, hit triangle (or options, not at my ps4 atm), then select the check for update before trying to run the app / game.

This was added some what recently, but not at launch.

I do agree that a global trigger / check all would be nice.

Now for a feature I WISH they implement, the abilty to look at your account download and sort them by type (theme, demo, app, etc).

Especially on the PS3... I have over 1000+ items and sorting is a PAIN.

I'm aware of that feature but it's not something I always remember to do (guess I'm lazy).  The app/game should first check to see if you have the newest version, then if not, then ask if you want to download before it launches. I've seen that message about "there's a download sitting in the Download secion" but it's little quirky for me. They just need to streamline that a little better is all. Not a showstopper bug by any means but could use some re-engineering.

  • Friends organization/notifications
  • Custom folders to shorten the horizontal scrolling
  • Native DLNA (but Plex via browser/app work, I guess but native is ideal)

are a few I can think of off the top of my head.

I'm assuming he means the bar at top accompanies what's on screen and then fades out.

Way to blow your NDA though :/

I thought PS4 had suspend/resume already?

Not in-app (ie, what they touted at first being able to suspend the console while playing a game, then boot it back up and be right back in game)

Right now it just does suspend as a version of turning it off while being able to get downloads, charge controllers, etc.

Ah ok that makes sense. That would make this a pretty big update then.

What I can't figure out that seems like an obvious thing is why when you compare trophies it doesn't filter them down to the games you both have in common. I mean if you're COMPARING why show things you can't compare at all. The lists can be quite long and it's annoying to have to scroll through a ton of games only one or the other have to find the ones here and there that you both have.

Does applications include games?

Yes but this is a backup feature, it doesn't RUN the games off the external drives it just let's you back them up.

External hard drive supportB_e122dVEAIRE2M.jpg

U now have my attention keep going.

External HDD support is something I would very much welcome. Even if that's just backing up games for now..

Hopefully there will be full external support, which includes external back and the ability to run games/apps as well.

As soon as I can playback my movies from an external hdd I will be buying a PS4. It is annoying that the PS4 launched without feature parity to the PS3. Oh well saved me from buying a launch day console, hopefully it will have dropped in price by the time they add playback :p

While developing the PlayStation 4 system, our hardware and software teams relied on feedback from our community of developers. The result is the most innovative and forward-thinking gaming console in the market today. Since launch, PlayStation has continued that trend of listening to feedback by bringing some of the most highly requested features from the PlayStation Nation to PS4 with each of our system software updates. When we unveiled PS4 two years ago, we announced Suspend/Resume, a feature that would enable PS4 users to jump in and out of their games faster than ever. This has been a feature gamers have been excited about since then, and today I am honored to officially confirm that system software update 2.50,
