in school's, you have to learn a language, French or German. To be honest it was a useless class and pretty much haven't used the language since.

i have however come into the need for Sign language and looked like a complete clown not knowing what to say or do.

As for having French or German as a useful tool in your life, how many of you are actually going to need the few words or sentences you learn? even on holiday everyone speaks English and they speak it better then you could ever hope to speak French or German or what ever language you learnt in school.

i think it would be much more beneficial for children to learn Sign and would have a much more practical use throughout your life.

I think they need to teach es/fr/de/and jp at schools and it's best when they are in pre-k or K. Kids learn faster at that age than high school.

I also think they should teach sign language at that age as well.
