Windows 10 Desktop UI dark theme transparency concept

Recommended Posts

Forgive me, nosense, but doesn't this concept contradict your previous comments? The black is gorgeous though.

That transparency is overkill? Ya, I do not want windows 10 to look like this, my use of transparency is overkill(explorer\etc).I do want transparency for notifications center tho.

I don't understand . . . Normally one when creates a concept for an operating system it is based on an appearance that the creator desires. But you say that you don't want Windows 10 to look like this? Hmm.

I'm fine with the direction windows 10 is going, I created this because i was bored, missing around in PS. It only took about maybe 1 hour or so. I wanted to see how windows 10 would look if it went transparency nuts. This concept is inspired by what MS is working on.

My statement was regarding transparency on thick windows borders on aero. And yes i find transparency is distracting on Yosemite. I use Yosemite everyday and i hate it.

Well..they won't make it look like a Linux distro with transparency anywhere like this..

They probably won't go back to Aero Glass either.

They will go the direction of Yosemite. Most likely toolbars below the titlebar will have a transparency. Perhaps once we see the final context menus, they will have transparency.

If you look at that mockup that got upvoted on uservoice, transparency will probably look like that.

Yosemite's usage of transparency is probably the closest to what we will get.

No offense, but there is so much overkill here, it hurts to look at this. Transparent windows? Nooooo.

This reminds me of all the apps that were released for Windows XP after transparency first appeared in the early Longhorn builds. It was awful then and is awful now!

Yes but, dare I say that you could have used this "time" to submit feedback for appearance and functionality that you actually desire? Just a thought.

I do like the idea of having at least some (optional) transparency for the notification center, though.

Why would I? I said i was fine with the direction of how windows 10 looks amd the direction it's going. Like i said this is me just missing around\brushing up with Photoshop.  I do submit feed back on other things like bugs with IE and another things regarding startscreen.
